Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre is home to a leading Regional Cancer Program serving over 2.3 million people. In addition to general medical and surgical care, it offers emergency services, intensive care, surgical oncology, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and advanced adult stem cell transplant and cellular therapies.

Hamilton General Hospital
Hamilton General Hospital stands as a shining example of specialized medical care, offering advanced treatments and services to critically ill and injured patients across south-central Ontario — supported by expert teams, research excellence, and innovative care solutions.
The Hamilton General Hospital performs more cardiac surgeries than any other hospital in Ontario, performing over 1,600 open-heart procedures annually. Delivering life-saving interventions and hope to patients with complex heart conditions.
The Hospital provides a continuum of care from acute treatment to in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation, enhancing recovery outcomes for stroke patients.
A provincial centre for minimally invasive neurosurgery and stroke care, Hamilton General Hospital leads the Regional Stroke and Neurosurgical programs — providing incredible surgical and rehabilitative interventions.
The Regional Burn Program is one of only two burn centres in Ontario, offering specialized diagnosis, treatment, and care for patients with acute burn injuries.

McMaster Children’s Hospital
McMaster Children’s Hospital provides leading pediatric care in emergency medicine, neonatal and pediatric intensive care, surgery, oncology, cardiology, autism services, and child and youth mental health. As one of Canada’s largest pediatric academic hospitals, it combines family-centred care and compassion with innovative research and education to improve child health outcomes across the region.
The most complex medical conditions, from neonatal intensive care to pediatric oncology and specialized mental health services can all receive treatment at the same place. The Hospital’s rapidly expanding children’s emergency department handles critical injuries and acute illnesses, providing 24/7 trauma stabilization, pediatric-focused diagnostics, and seamless coordination with intensive care and surgical teams.
Care teams at the Hospital provide life-saving care to the most fragile newborns. The Hospital also integrates a high-risk maternal health program, ensuring seamless care for both babies and birth parents.
As the region’s pediatric trauma centre, the hospital provides immediate, specialized emergency care for critically injured children — delivering life-saving interventions with expert teams, advanced equipment, and compassionate family-centred support.
Leading the way in pediatric mental health care, McMaster Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive services for children and teens in crisis. Providing assessment, acute treatment, and recovery support for complex emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.

Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre stands as a premier regional hub for cancer treatment and research, offering comprehensive cancer care and specialized services to a vast patient population. Affiliated with McMaster University, it offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation, alongside emergency services, orthopedics, and pioneering stem cell therapies.
Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre is the sole facility in south-central Ontario equipped to treat all types of cancer, serving a regional population of over 2.3 million people.
One of three centres in Ontario offering comprehensive stem cell transplants and CAR-T cell therapy. As one of two Canadian sites involved in early studies of CAR T-cell therapy, Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre helped bring this revolutionary immunotherapy treatment to patients nationwide.
Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre’s uniquely supportive care delivers comprehensive emotional, social, physical, and spiritual support throughout their cancer journey. The psychosocial oncology team includes social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists to support patients, caregivers, and families.
This donor-funded negative pressure ward reduces infection risks for immune-compromised patients undergoing life-saving stem cell transplants, ensuring safer recovery through specialized airflow systems and expert clinical care.

St. Peter’s Hospital
St. Peter’s Hospital provides specialized care for adults with complex health care needs. Services include rehabilitation, dementia and memory care, palliative support, and chronic disease management. The hospital blends inpatient, outpatient, and community programs to improve daily function and comfort.
Provides personalized management for adults with serious chronic conditions. Patients receive multidisciplinary care — nursing, therapy, and medical oversight — to optimize functional ability, daily comfort, and quality of life in a dedicated, supportive environment.

The Hospital’s Restorative Care Program provides low-intensity, longer-stay treatment and rehabilitation therapy for patients with multiple medical and/or functionally complex conditions. Through physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and supportive care, patients build skills for everyday living and return confidently to their families and the wider community.
St. Peter’s Hospital offers a 60-bed palliative care program, the largest of its kind in the country, providing compassionate end-of-life care that focuses on pain management, emotional support, and dignity for patients and their families.
