How the lottery works

The Staff 50/50 Lottery offers employees the chance to win cash while supporting hospital innovation and care. Tickets are purchased through payroll deduction, with biweekly draws. Half of proceeds fund prizes; the other half supports health care across Hamilton Health Sciences.

Step 1

Complete the Entry Form:

Download the entry form from the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation website or obtain a copy from The Foundation office.

Step 2

Submit the completed form via:

  • Fax: 905-577-8025
  • Mail or drop—off: Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation

Step 3

Biweekly draws occur on Wednesdays following each payday. Winners are notified by phone or email, and results are posted on the lottery page. Prizes vary based on participation, up to a maximum of $30,000 per draw.

Eligibility

Open to all Hamilton Health Sciences employees and volunteers aged 18 or older.
Note: Participants are automatically re-enrolled each year unless they choose to cancel. To cancel, notify The Foundation in writing at least 20 days before a draw date.
