  • A powerful new tool is saving sight for children of all ages at @mcmasterchildrens! ✨ Thanks to a $120,000 grant from our generous donors, the pediatric ophthalmology team now has a specialized laser. This technology prevents blindness in premature babies with a severe eye disease called ROP and also treats retinal tears in older children. This means fragile infants no longer need to endure stressful transfers to other cities for care. This life-changing equipment keeps our youngest patients safe and close to home when it matters most.
