With the support of our donors, we are honoured to award individuals across Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) with a range of bursaries and awards to enable the pursuit of ongoing education, professional development and research initiatives.
Inspired by the exceptional care their son received, the Woods family established this bursary in 2022 to support education for nurse practitioners working in oncology and hematology at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre (JHCC).
“I look forward to my growth within HHS and know with confidence that this award contributed greatly to what I can now offer this patient population and community,” says recipient Bronwen Zatterberg. The bursary supported her training to become a nurse practitioner. Bronwen now works as a nurse practitioner in hematology at JHCC.
