What are we fundraising for?

We’re raising $125,000 toward the expansion of the Adult Stem Cell Transplant Program at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.

To date, registered Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre teams have raised more than $488,000 in gross revenue to support the: chemotherapy robot (2013), MR simulator and required renovations (2014), anesthesia machine (2015), and the redevelopment of the Interventional Radiology suites in Diagnostic Imaging (2016).

About the Stem Cell Transplant Program at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre

Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre is just one of three hospitals in Ontario providing all forms of stem cell transplants to adult cancer patients in Ontario.

What will the new Stem Cell Transplant Unit look like?

This will be a dedicated and specialized clinical area that houses 15 individually-equipped inpatient rooms, five individually equipped outpatient rooms and a dedicated sterile compounding area for chemotherapy preparation. It will also include essential equipment and patient amenities needed to support this expansion. What does the new Unit mean for patients? Fifty per cent more patients with blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma will have access to this potentially life-saving treatment.

RelayWIN A PRIZE!

Participants of all new Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre teams that register between March 22 and 31 will be entered into a draw to win a $25 gift certificate at Papa Leo’s Restaurant, located at 638 Concession Street.
