Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation Celebrates “Symbol of Trust”

Imagine Canada, the umbrella for Canada’s charities and non-profits, applauded Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation for completing the reaccreditation process under its national Standards Program.

Accreditation is given to charities and non-profits that are dedicated to operational excellence and have demonstrated they have met the required standards in five fundamental areas: board governance; financial accountability and transparency; fundraising; staff management; and volunteer involvement.

“It’s no small feat for an organization to earn Standards Program accreditation,” says Bruce MacDonald, president and CEO of Imagine Canada. “It’s a rigorous, peer-reviewed process that is meant to build Canadians’ trust and confidence in the charitable sector.”

Accredited organizations are encouraged to showcase Imagine Canada’s official Trustmark. This symbol of excellence, leadership and transparency is proudly displayed at the bottom of our website.

Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation would also like to congratulate the most recent group of nine organizations that received accreditation and the other 33 organizations who completed the reaccreditation process.
