Illuminight Fundraising Walk Raises Nearly $141,300 For Cancer Program
The second-annual Illuminight raised nearly $141,300, and still counting, for Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation.
The autumn-themed event was held at Dyment’s Farm in Dundas. Illuminight featured more than 600 participants walking a nearly 1.5-km farmland trail, which had multiple illuminated installations to surprise and delight guests. The event also included music by Canadian country artist Ty Baynton, fall-themed food, pumpkin carving and other fun autumn activities.
“It was tremendous to see our passionate community come together to make a vital difference for the Cancer Program,” says Pearl Veenema, President and CEO of Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation.
All proceeds will support the highest priority needs of the Cancer Program at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.
The Foundation thanks all sponsors, participants and donors for their support of Illuminight.
Donations can be made until October 31.
