Precision medicine involving personalized care will revolutionize treatment for patients diagnosed with cancer within the next few years. New models of cancer care are required to deliver these new treatments and to effectively meet patient health needs. They will include strategies that empower patients to actively engage in their care. This research project will examine the experiences and perspectives of patients, nurses and other health care providers about precision medicine so that a new model of care can be developed and evaluated. The collaboration with international colleagues will support the transferability of study findings to other patient populations.
