McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation is a proud member of Children’s Miracle Network—an international non-profit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals, 14 of which are in Canada. These hospitals, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. When a donation is given, it stays in the community, ensuring that every dollar is helping local kids.

As a member, McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation is supported by corporate partners that dedicate time and energy to a variety of fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Lowe’s Canada balloon campaign – April 4 to May 21. When at Lowe’s, purchase balloons to support McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation through Children’s Miracle Network.

Pizza Pizza Slices for Smiles campaign – April 23 to 29. Pizza Pizza will be offering a medium Smile pepperoni pizza for $5.99. Available for walk-in orders as well as delivery as an add-on to any pizza order.

Lindt Mother’s Day campaign – April 30 to May 13. Receive a free Lindor Milk 3-pack when you make $2 donation to Canada’s Children’s Hospitals Foundation.

Air Canada FoundationAir Canada Foundation dreams up innovative ways to support Children’s Miracle Network and McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation. This includes spare change collection on board flights through the Every Bit Counts program. The foundation also provides thousands of flights for families and children, allocating more than 20 million Aeroplan Miles to the Hospital Transportation Program – getting patients and families to the care they need. Air Canada Foundation also provides fundraising tickets to events across Canada, which generates thousands of dollars for hospitals and foundations.

The Brick

the_brick_logo-svgThe Brick’s passion to help “improve the lives of children brick-by-brick,” is evident in all of its stores during their campaign period. As part of a very robust campaign that launched in 2014, The Brick has its very own Brickley bear as a symbol of philanthropic commitment. Brickely is available as a paper icon, as well as a cuddly plush bear that customers can purchase, with Children’s Miracle Network benefitting from the proceeds. Though Brickley is a large part of this campaign, the scope of The Brick`s campaign includes corporate and employee donations as well as vendor campaigns.


COSTCOCANADA_webCostco Wholesale Warehouses have supported Children’s Miracle Network and McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation by having members and employees focus their support during the month of May with their Miracle Balloon campaign, which sees their warehouses fill with familiar red and yellow paper balloons. The executive team energizes and supports their employees in a huge way enabling them to continue to raise the bar in support of Children’s Miracle Network and McMaster Children’s Hospital and by investing significantly in a corporate match program.

Dairy Queen’s owners, operators and staff have worked together to make miracles happen for McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network.

Dairy Queen holds its signature event, Miracle Treat Day every August, when 100% of the proceeds from the sale of Blizzard® treats in our region go to McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation. Their dedication does not stop there. Throughout the year, Dairy Queen Employees sell paper balloon icons, host in-store events and collect coins to support McMaster Children’s Hospital.

First Student employees across Canada participate in fundraising initiatives, such as the Survivor Bus, golf tournament and an employee deduction program, as well as local, grassroots events to support Children’s Miracle Network and McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation.


As part of its commitment to “Living Well,” GNC is a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network, and raises funds for children’s hospitals across Canada to help ensure that sick and injured children have the best chance to live well too.

Since 2014, GNC has engaged communities across Canada in raising funds by selling Miracle Balloons and developing vendor campaigns in 187 stores.

IHOP Restaurants

IHOP_Restaurant_logo.svgOn National Pancake Day, IHOP restaurants throughout Canada participate in 15 hours of pancake delight, when free pancakes are served from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. In exchange for the free short stacks, customers are encouraged to leave a donation to support Children’s Miracle Network and McMaster Children’s Hospital.

Lowe’s is our newest partner to the Children’s Miracle Network family, supporting McMaster Children’s Hospital.  Through their campaign, front line staff at Lowe’s locations ask customers to make a donation to their local children’s hospital.  Lowe’s tagline is “Helping kids love where they live”

Marriott Hotels of Canadamarriott_logo

Marriott Hotels of Canada supports Children’s Miracle Network, including McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation by holding themed galas and golf tournaments at its properties across the country. The Breakfast Fundraising Campaign gives $1 from each hotel guests’ breakfast to Children’s Miracle Network and once a year on Miracle Jeans Day, employees donate in order to wear jeans to work. Many Marriott employees also show their dedication to helping miracles happen through smaller, grassroots events like garage sales and silent auctions.

McMaster Children’s Hospital is proud to host the Microsoft CLICK program – Child Life Interactive Computer for Kids. CLICK uses the power of play to improve children’s health, connectivity and normalcy when in hospital.

Through CLICK, children can use tablet PCs, webcams, digital cameras and the Xbox, to play games, surf the Internet, connect with their classrooms and chat online with families and friends. Microsoft and Xbox Canada also raises funds for the Children’s Miracle Network through initiatives like the Mission4Miracles campaign, which gave gamers the chance to donate Xbox Live points to support Children’s Miracle Network.

The Mike Weir Foundation/Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids

MIKE FOUNDATION BW copyIn 2013, the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation hosted the Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids at the Hamilton Golf & Country Club. Mike Weir attended the tournament and announced the Mike Weir Foundation’s $100,000 donation to the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation. This brought total proceeds from the event to $440,000, which helped fund a second angiography suite at McMaster Children’s Hospital.


PARTYLITE_jpgAs the largest direct seller of candles in Canada, PartyLite has found innovative and creative ways to support Children’s Miracle Network and the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation. PartyLite consultants encourage clients to round-up their bills or buy featured products and many consultants participate in an automatic charitable deduction program.Each year, an annual conference is held to recognize consultants’ efforts in raising crucial funds for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

Pizza Pizza partners with Children’s Miracle Network through its Slices for Smiles campaign every April and October. Locations across our region promote certain pizzas, with a percentage of proceeds benefitting McMaster Children’s Hospital. Pizza Pizza also has counter-top donation boxes and holds an annual Pizza Pizza Classic Golf Tournament to support Children’s Miracle Network and its member hospitals.


REMAX-Hi-resThrough the Miracle Home Program®, RE/MAX agents in our region donate a percentage of each real estate transaction to McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation. During the August Month of Miracles, RE/MAX offices and agents hold exciting fundraising initiatives, including golf tournaments, galas and other events.

TD Bank Group

td-bank-logoThanks to incredible employee efforts and customer support, TD Bank Group is celebrating 20 years of support to Children’s Miracle Network in 2014. TD branch employees regularly create and host fundraising initiatives, including in-branch barbecues and staff baseball tournaments. TD also offers an automatic monthly donation program to customers, with TD matching customer and employee donations up to $1 million dollars each year. In 2012, Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation recognized TD Bank Group for 20 years of support and $2.8 million in giving with most of its support directed to McMaster Children’s Hospital. Walmart Canadauntitled

Walmart Canada associates hold everything from bake sales to bowling tournaments – and each May, they sell paper balloon icons – all to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network and its Foundation partners. Walmart Canada is also the sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network’s Champions presented by Walmart, which brings together children representing 12 children’s hospital foundations to celebrate pediatric health and wellness. Each year, McMaster Children’s Hospital is proud to identify a patient ambassador to represent us at a variety of activities throughout the year.

In 2013, the Walmart Canada Pediatric Medical & Surgical Day Care Unit was named to celebrate Walmart Canada’s $2.3-million in cumulative giving to McMaster Children’s Hospital. The unit provides care to infants and children up to age 18, who require specialized intravenous infusions, blood transfusions and sedation for painful procedures, such as lumbar punctures and biopsies.
