I wanted to take the time to share some updates with you.
Never before has the issue of health and health care been so front and centre as with the current COVID-19 situation.
The entire health care system is working hard to keep our communities healthy and safe. The dedicated teams at Hamilton Health Sciences are on the front lines of this crisis – and we are thankful for all of their tireless efforts. Now more than ever, It’s Vital to Care.
Hamilton Health Sciences continues to update the community about the impact of COVID-19 on our hospital sites, in particular the situation around clinical care, visiting patients and visitor screening. Please refer to their website for the latest information.
For updates on how best to protect yourself and your loved ones, or to understand symptoms and how best to manage, please monitor Ontario Public Health.
In keeping with the critical need to achieve social distancing to prevent further community spread of COVID-19, Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation staff are working remotely. We have asked them to stay in touch with donors by telephone, email and even videoconferencing, instead of visiting.
At any time if you would like to contact a member of our staff, please reach out directly. If you do not have their contact details, please connect through email@example.com or by calling 905-522-3863 and we will have them respond within a 24-hour period.
We are also working with all event holders as they look to cancel or reschedule any events originally scheduled in April. Of course, this situation continues to unfold and we will reassess on an ongoing basis.
Engaging with our website and social media channels is a great way to stay on top of developments at The Foundation, as we continue to share stories of donor impact. We are in the process of finalizing our annual Donor Report for 2019. In it you will find so many heartwarming stories on the impact that donors have had on patient care. We had so many that we couldn’t fit them all in the report, so we will be sharing more through our digital platforms. After all, it is always great to share good news.
At this time, as we consider the importance of social distancing, we would also encourage you to reflect on some of the patients whose stories we have shared – and remember that you are staying home for them as well.
If you have questions about tax receipts, please feel free to connect via firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 905-522-3863.
We care deeply about you and your family, and our regional community and are sending you our best wishes for good health and well-being.
With thanks for your continued support and understanding.
