Thanks to the generosity of The Walters Group of Companies and its Chairman Walter Koppelaar, a bagged lunch/snack was delivered to all staff and physicians at Juravinski Cancer Centre on Friday, April 24. They received 415 lunches and the food was delivered in two waves to accommodate different work schedules.

This wonderful gesture of support was greatly appreciated by the staff and physicians, who have been working harder than ever to ensure patient safety and continued excellence in cancer care as the COVID-19 crisis continues. This donation is The Walters Group’s way of thanking the dedicated teams at Juravinski Cancer Centre for the amazing work they are doing during these unusual and stressful times.

Lunches will be delivered every Friday until May 29.These acts of kindness demonstrate how The Walters Group lives its core values as role models of humility, teamwork and passion in support of the communities they serve.

Inspiring others to give back
